GET THE FACTS

Inflation & Taxes

Juan Ciscomani

As a dad of 6, Juan knows the challenges facing families firsthand: soaring inflation, the rising cost of living, and record-setting gas and grocery prices.

Washington keeps printing more money and making things worse. In Congress, Juan will fight for Arizonans by supporting a balanced budget and getting Washington spending under control.

He will also fight for good paying American jobs, reduced regulations and lower taxes on families and small businesses.

Kirsten Engel

Kirsten Engel doesn’t understand how government spending is leading to higher prices for families. She has said “printing money, handing out money” did not cause inflation.

And as a state legislator, Engel voted against an income tax cut that lowered taxes for ALL Arizona taxpayers and created the lowest flat tax in the country.

Abortion

Juan Ciscomani

Juan’s position on this issue has been consistent since the start of his campaign.

Juan will never do anything to jeopardize a woman’s health.

Juan is pro-life with exceptions for rape, incest, and protecting the life of the mother.

Arizona Daily Star September 8, 2022 Interview (21:53)

Kirsten Engel

Kirsten Engel supports abortion on-demand up to the moment of birth.

Engel’s position does not have any exceptions or restrictions on late-term, full-term or partial birth abortions.

Public Safety

Juan Ciscomani

Juan is a friend to our men and women in blue. Our law enforcement leaders recognize that Juan isn’t like the partisans in DC, he listens to and empathizes with his constituents and will prioritize public safety. That's why he’s endorsed by the National Border Patrol Council, the Arizona Police Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

As Arizona’s 6th congressional district next representative, Juan will always stand with law enforcement, voting against any effort to defund our police. And Juan will work relentlessly to provide critical resources to our law enforcement officers so they can address our state’s fentanyl crisis and keep our schools and children safe.

Kirsten Engel

In a 2020 Clean Elections debate, Kirsten Engel asserted she would support defunding the police saying, “we need to shift where the money is going.”

She supports policies that will shrink the law enforcement workforce even while response times are at an all-time low due to a record workforce shortage. And Engel supports reallocating resources away from our law enforcement professionals while Arizona deals with a dangerous fentanyl crisis.

Engel would just go along with the partisans in DC; she doesn’t recognize the hard truth: our streets are less safe and our leaders need to take action.

Border Security

Juan Ciscomani

Juan supports an all-of-the-above approach to secure the border to stop drug cartels and human traffickers. This means putting boots on the ground, deploying new technology, and finishing the wall.

If the federal government does its job securing the border, we can focus on maximizing the benefit to Arizona from the improved USMCA trade deal with Mexico and Canada.

Kirsten Engel

Kirsten Engel voted against more than $15 million in funding for the Arizona Border Strike Force, which combats drug and human trafficking coming across our southern border.*

Engel said that Arizona does not have an immigration crisis.

And she claimed that border walls “are not making us any safer”.
